DipSpin Coating Technology

DipSpin coating technology is an advanced application method used especially in surface coating processes of fasteners and high-volume parts to ensure homogeneous coating distribution and controlled coating thickness.

In this system, parts are immersed in a special coating bath and then subjected to a centrifuge (spin) process to remove excess coating, resulting in a uniform and controlled film layer on the surface. This minimizes coating differences between parts and ensures repeatable quality.

As Erkap Industrial Coating Solutions, we provide services with two dip-spin coating lines in order to meet high-volume production demands.

  • 1st DipSpin Line: Commissioned in January 2024
  • 2nd DipSpin Line: Commissioned in October 2025

Thanks to this infrastructure, flexible production planning can be carried out for different passivation and topcoat types, and uninterrupted high-capacity production is ensured.

In the dip-spin process, parts are first immersed in the coating bath (dip), then rotated at high speed (spin) to leave the desired coating thickness on the surface.

With this method:

  • Coating thickness is controlled
  • Accumulation on the part surface is prevented
  • Homogeneous distribution is achieved even in complex geometries

TOPCOAT (LAK) AND FUNCTIONAL COATINGS

Dip-spin technology provides high efficiency especially in topcoat (lak) and dry film lubricant applications. These systems, applied after zinc and zinc-nickel plating, significantly improve surface performance.

  • Additional protection is provided with corrosion-resistant topcoat applications
  • Friction-controlled topcoat systems allow adjustment of the coefficient of friction
  • Stable assembly performance is achieved in fasteners

Depending on the application, the coefficient of friction (μ) can be controlled within specific ranges, achieving results compliant with automotive standards.

ADVANTAGES

  • Homogeneous coating distribution
  • Controlled coating thickness
  • Suitable for high-volume production
  • Minimum variation between parts
  • Thin and functional coating applications
