Electroless Nickel Hardness Enhancement

Heat treatment applied after electroless nickel plating is a process used to increase the hardness of the coating layer. Especially in mid- and low-phosphorus coatings, surface hardness can be significantly improved through heat treatment.

As a result of this process, the coating structure changes, leading to increased wear resistance and improved surface performance.

  • Process temperature: 300°C – 400°C
  • Hardness: Can reach levels of 65 – 72 HRC
