Zinc Coating Cr+3 Black Passivation
Trivalent (Cr+3) black passivation applied on zinc coating is an advanced surface treatment that provides a homogeneous and deep black appearance to steel materials while delivering high corrosion resistance when combined with suitable topcoat (sealer) systems. Cr+3 black passivation is an environmentally friendly alternative, compliant with WEEE, RoHS, and ELV directives due to its heavy metal-free structure. It is applied on electrolytic zinc coatings in accordance with the EN ISO 2081 standard and provides high corrosion performance under ISO 9227 salt spray test conditions when used together with topcoat applications.
